At this point the body is mostly apart. The front sheet metal and doors have been removed. The next step is to start trimming the replacement rear half to fit on the car. This took a lot of planning and measuring.

The car with the front fenders and hood removed.

The replacement four door back half getting trimmed up tho fit the two door.

The back half of the convertible was removed and the remaining sheet metal is getting trimmed to accept the replacement rear half.

All of the measuring and trimming is carefully done to make sure too much metal is not removed. Our goal is to slide the replacement rear half onto the car and butt the two together for welding.

I am doing a ‘66 Buick LeSabre right now and cannot find inner fenders for the LeSabre or Wildcat anywhere. Do you have any advice for me?

We have had the same problems finding parts. My advice is to check eBay every so often and also check on http://www.hemmings.com and subscribe to Hemmings Motor News.
