Before going on with fitting the lower quarter panels we decided to go ahead and fit the front fenders while we had the doors on the car. The front fenders are really in good shape for their age. They only have a small rust area on the lower part of them, although they do have a few dings. The left side has a bulge on the lip above the wheel opening.

To install the front fenders, we had to install the inner fenders and radiator support.

The left fender is shown on the car. It’s best to check all of the panels before you start the body and paint work. That way you can make all of the necessary adjustments and repairs.

As you can see here we need to repair the rust and also repair the fender because it hangs lower than the rocker panel. Most likely it will need some adjustment to the lower mounting bracket.

This is good. I am not into cars really. My brother is and i am able to get a glimpse into the world of cars through him. If this interests me, it surely would interest my brother. I can not wait to show this post to him.
