Auto Restoration 101

This is an inexpensive tool for removing the older clip type GM interior door handles. You just slide the tool in between the handle and the plastic washer to push the spring clip. Line up the tool straight with the handle and gently push the spring clip. The handle will now slide off of the splined shaft.

To re-install the handle is really simple. With the handle off, push the spring clip back into place, re-install the plastic washer and then push the handle back onto the shaft. The spring clip will allow the handle to snap back onto the shaft.
